About

Louise Haughey, born 1987 is a photographer from Edinburgh who has grown up in the coastal suburb, Portobello.

She has studied photography at Edinburgh College from 2017 to 2021 and then went on to complete her Honours degree at Napier University in May 2024.

During this time Louise has explored many different genres with portraits and landscapes being at the forefront of her projects.

She has since developed an interest and passion in documenting social issues with her latest project, “Dear Bob”, focused around communities and housing issues in North Edinburgh.

Alongside this, Louise has a great love for nature, the outdoors and abstract photographs which she created the project “Down By The Beach” , a series of images around the sunrises and seascapes near to her home.

  • Studio works around Dance and exploring the human condition was exhibited in March 2023 at WhiteSpace Gallery in Edinburgh as a group exhibition.

  • Her photographs around North Edinburgh also featured in the NEN ( North Edinburgh News) publication and was exhibited at Royston Wardieburn Community Centre in May 2024.
